How to Share a Claude Chat with Support
Overview
If support needs to review what happened in your Claude conversation, you can share the chat by creating a public Claude link or by saving the chat as a PDF.
Only share the conversation that is relevant to your support request.
Option 1: Share the Claude chat link
- Open the Claude chat you want support to review.
- Click Share in the top-right corner of the chat.
- Claude will show sharing options.
- Choose Create public link.
- Click Copy link.
- Paste the link into your support message.
Important privacy note
A public link means anyone with that link can view the shared chat. Only create and send the link if you are comfortable sharing the contents of that conversation with support.
Claude also shows that future messages are not included. If you continue the conversation after creating the link, those later messages may not appear in the shared version. Create a new share link if support needs to see the updated conversation.
Option 2: Save the Claude chat as a PDF
Use this option if you do not want to send a public Claude link or if support asks for a file attachment.
- Open the Claude chat you want to share.
- Open your browser’s print option.
- On most browsers, press Ctrl + P on Windows or Command + P on Mac.
- Choose a PDF option, such as Save as PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF.
- Make sure the full chat is included in the preview.
- Click Save or Print.
- Give the file a clear name, such as Claude chat for Copy Viking support.
- Attach the PDF to your support message.
Troubleshooting
I do not see the Share button
Make sure you are inside the specific Claude conversation, not just on the Claude home screen or project list.
My shared link is missing newer messages
Claude indicates that future messages are not included in the share. Create a new public link after the latest messages have been added.
The PDF only saves one page
Open the print preview and check the page range before saving. Make sure the browser is set to include the full conversation rather than only the visible screen.
